Santarém is a goat cheese from Portugal produced in several regions of Portugal, but especially in the Santarém district and in Serra de Santo António. It is best eaten ripe, although it can be eaten fresh, in servings of between 50 grams to 100 grams. It is preserved in good quality edible oil.
